YOUR WATER SHOULD TASTE INCREDIBLE.
your water should be clean, pure and fresh
High in the Sierra Nevada Mountains lies the Tahoe National Forrest. In the winter the snow falls cold, crisp and clean. During the spring the snow begins to melt on its journey through hundreds of feet of granite deep below the mountains. Pressure begins to build as it reaches deep below the granite to the natural aquifers.
Water then surges back to the surface under its own pressure where we collect it without any mechanical means. Along the journey, Tahoe Artesian Water™ is naturally infused with minerals and trace elements giving our water the character and terroir of the surrounding rock.
Tahoe Artesian Water™ is a gift from nature proudly shared with the local community, sold only in Northern California, a premier but local choice for over 13 million Californians. We take great care to share this rare local treasure with you while staying in balance with the surrounding ecosystem.
In order to maximize freshness, Tahoe Artesian Water™ only bottles in small runs so that each bottle of water still tastes as great as the day it first surged from deep within our single artesian well situated 6000 feet down in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

YOUR WATER SHOULD BE HEALTHY
pH is a chemistry term to define and quantify the number of hydrogen ions. It actually means “the power of Hydrogen.” Substances with a pH level less than 7 are considered acidic, while substances with a pH level greater than 7 are considered alkaline. Numerous medical experts agree that increasing your alkaline intake with healthy foods and water is one of the best things you can for your health and well being. This relationship between your pH level and your oxygen intake can have a dramatic effect on preventing illness and disease. A boost in your pH levels boosts your body’s oxygen intake, and, as a general rule, pathogens do not survive in an oxygen-rich, alkaline environment. This is one of the reasons we feel so revived when bathing in sea water. Seawater has roughly the same trace elements and minerals as, and closely matches, human plasma. The healing benefits of the sea and its relatively neutral pH have been touted for centuries — but naturally, we can’t drink this water. Tap water is relatively neutral at 7.0, but choosing a higher pH drinking water, such as Tahoe Artesian Water™, helps with the desired health benefits.
YOUR WATER SHOULD BE SUSTAINABLE
Our team is deeply and passionately committed to developing an innovative supply, production, and distribution model that minimizes environmental impact while providing the consumer with an exceptional product.
HOW DO WE COMPARE?
A leading comparable bottle of artesian water requires 250g of CO2 per bottle. Our bottle only requires 6.9g of CO2 per bottle.
HOW DO WE DO IT?
First, our efforts to minimize CO2 begin at our production facility where the natural pressure of our artesian aquifer gently propels water upwards into our stainless steel storage tank. This process occurs without the use of electricity and is carbon neutral and completely sustainable. Because the aquifer is artesian, we only receive and collect the excess water, allowing the aquifer to remain full and in balance with the environment. Second, we utilize existing local partners to minimize the carbon released during the transportation of our packaging.
OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT
We are proud that 90% of our packaging originates within 120 miles of our facility, and, we continue to seek innovative ways to reduce the environmental impact of our bottles. While our current (PET) bottle is both recyclable and reusable, we will soon phase it out in favor of already-recycled (rPET) bottles. We look forward to continuing to develop an exceptional and environmentally-conscious product. .

PLOTTING THE FUTURE
High in California’s Sierra Nevada Mountains and deep in California’s Lake Tahoe National Forest is the Wells Family’s protected artesian aquifer. Our family, from children to elders, have always known there was something special about our water. Tahoe skiers and snowboarders who stopped at our family’s lodge outside Truckee would rave about our water’s exceptional taste and fill up their water bottles before continuing on their journey.
